A new exclusive winery by renowned sommelier Agustina de Alba, contacted us at Taller Posible to design and build their main table. The feeling we wanted to convey was great presence and elegance, with the simplicity and sturdyness of a medieval tavern table. In addition, the 3100 milimeter long table had to be assembled at destination since the only way to the wine-tasting room was through a narrow stair.
Incienso wood was chosen for it’s beautiful color and great strength. The top was made with 2”x 9” glued boards as the table was meant to have a strong presence and we knew that in such dimenssions we would lose thickness. The legs in 1,5” and that one-inch space between them was an austere detail that created an intriguing effect with lights and shadows.
The table can be disassembled in top, apron, stretcher, three crossbars and legs. The installation was made in few minutes with an impact driver and a mallet.
